Eve on her Birthday with the objective in the background: Turtlehead Peak
Jeremy, Ben, and Sarah flew out today, which meant that Eve and I were on our own for one last day at Red Rocks. Eve and I were debating whether to do a two pitch climb, but since the weather forecast called for severe wind with gusts up to 45-55 mph, we decided that hiking might be the better option. Eve looked up a few hiking trails on-line and decided to hike above where we had been climbing the last few days.
Eve shows off her new climb like a girl T
Not having to carry a large backpack was really nice! Made the hike pretty easy for me. I think Eve was still adjusting to the altitude change from STL.
Requisite summit shots. Its kind of fun to actually get to the top of something. All of our technical climbs ended short of an actual summit. We logged in at the summit register, took away some garbage and left a single use sunscreen wipe.
